Khammam: The youth of the present generation must come forward to protect the spirit of the Indian Constitution, appealed Lingala Ravi Kumar, national president of Telangana Praja Chaithanya Vedika and Chairman of B R Ambedkar Praja Sakshema Sangham.

Ahead of Republic Day celebrations, a conference was organised in the name of ‘Yuva Bheri’ under the leadership of Lingala Ravi Kumar, at Bhakta Ramadasu Kalakshetram in Khammam on Wednesday, where more than 1,000 students of various educational institutions attended.

Floral tributes were paid Dr B R Ambedkar, architect of Indian Constitution on the occasion. Addressing the students, Mayor Dr Papa Lal advised the students to actively participate in activities for establishing a healthy and strong society.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Kumar said youth must come forward to experience the fruitful results of independence, which was achieved after sacrifices by many great leaders of the nation.

“For the development of the nation, the governments must utilise the young blood by providing them employment opportunities,” he said. Representatives of various peoples’ organiations G Veerabhadram, D Danimelu, M Sripal, Dr B V Raghavulu, Palakurthi Krishna, Rajaram, D Anand Kumar, Kranthi Kumar, Ch Kanakaiah, N Manohar, K Upendar, J Praveen, G Raju, Y Jayaraju, K Biksham, Kalyan Kumar, P Nageshwar Rao, Chandra Prakash, Raviteja, B Anil, Surendar and Kamalakar were present along with others.
