Gadwal: Joining issue with the ruling TRS leaders, Gadwal MLA D K Aruna and senior Congress leaders on Tuesday accused the government of spreading “false information.” Aruna referred to the resignation of Advocate General D Prakash Reddy and said he could not produce CCTV footage on the happenings in the Assembly to the High Court.

Speaking to the media here, the Congress leaders, while referring the expulsion of two Congress MLAs from the Assembly, said the resignation of the Advocate General had clearly showed that charges made against the legislators could be fabricated.

The Gadwal MLA alleged that the TRS government was spreading false information and fabricated a case to suppress the Opposition. She said the people would teach the government a befitting lesson.

She alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao had conspired, and it led to the expulsion of two Congress legislators. They had fabricated the case only to escape from the Congress onslaught in the Assembly as the government lacked courage to face the Opposition. The adamant and dictatorial attitude of the TRS government would be soon come to an end.

“We will fight it at all fronts and will not spare the TRS leaders. They knew the Congress is strong in the erstwhile Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda districts and wants to weaken us with their cunning acts and reducing our numbers by resorting to expulsions.

We will not bow to those acts of the government and will give them a befitting reply very soon. After coming to power, we will dig into all the corruption cases against the ruling party leaders and put them behind bars,” said Aruna.
