Gangupally villagers protest against drinking water scarcity
Villagers of Gangupally under Nampally mandal on Monday staged a protest demonstration with empty pots in front of the District Collectorate on Monday and demanded that the district administration provide potable water to them.

As many as 50 women from Gangupally said they had staged a protest demonstration to highlight the apathy on the part of the local sarpanch in addressing the scarcity of drinking water in the village.
Speaking to the media, a few women said the borewell, the well and three hand bores are non-functional because the motors attached to them are under repair for last few months. Neither sarpanch nor vice-sarpanch are taking interest.
Even though, they brought their drinking water issues to local MPDO and other district officials, there was no response from them, they informed.They requested the Collector to intervene and ensure that the motors are repaired.
