TDP stages protest over currency shortage

​Khammam: Due to thoughtless and hasty decision of demonetisation, the country is witnessing the financial crisis, said Sattupalli MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah here on Wednesday.
The MLA along with the TDP leaders paid floral tributes to a an ATM belonging to the State Bank of India, which went dry, here at Wyra road.
Speaking on the occasion, Venkata Veeraiah said the demonetisation decision taken by the BJP government at the Centre had resulted in the economic crisis and death of many people belonging to the middle-class and the poor.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and some of the corporate honchos had inflicted severe hardships on people. He questioned the Modi government why it had introduced Rs 2,000 currency note while banning Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes.
He demanded that the BJP government find a solution to the problem of shortage of currency immediately. TDP leaders Tulluri Hanumanth Rao, Swarna Kumar and others were present.
