Mahbubnagar: Stating that the Rythu Bhandu scheme was launched in the State by Chief Minister K Chandrashekara Rao to provide financial aid to the farmers, Health Minister C Laxman Reddy said all efforts were being made to usher in ‘Rama Rajyam.’ He was participating in Rythu Bhandu cheque distribution programme at Moti Ghanapur village under Balanagar mandal in Mahbubnagar district on Wednesday.

Later, the Minister took part in Rythu Bhandu cheque and pattadar passbook distribution programmes in Polepally under Jadcherla mandal and Ediganipally under Rajapur Mandal. The Minister termed Rythu Bhandu schame as the real ‘Atma Bhandu’ which has provided the much-needed succour to the farmers.

“Rythu Bhandu is one of the most important schemes launched by the Chief Minister. This will truly help the farming community to come out of the vicious circle of debts which pushed the farmers into distress for decades. Earlier thousands of farmers were forced to commit suicide due to debt burden. Definitely, Rythu Bhandu is a comprehensive solution for all the problems being faced by the farmers in the state,” the Minister observed.

He further said the Chief Minister was true visionary and he always was committed to help the farmers. He listed out welfare schemes and 34-hour free power and irrigation projects to drive his point home.
