Nalgonda Collector calls for campaign on environment protection
District Collector Gaurav Uppal here on Tuesday stressed the need to protect the environment and conserve natural resources for future generations. On the occasion of World Environmental Day, the Collector attended as a chief guest at the meeting organised by District pollution Board.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector advised people to use cloth bags and shun plastic. Plant saplings and conserve natural resources for the welfare of future generations, he underlined. It is duty of everyone to protect environment, he added. He urgedg people to construct rain water harvesting pits on the premises of their houses.
Retired IAS officer Chollati Prabhakar said everyone should inculcate the habit of planting trees. The trees would play a vital role for ecological balance, he added PCB Executive Engineer Jawaharlal, Divisional Forest Officer Sudhershan Reddy, Municipal Commissioner Venkateshwarlu, Scientist Ravinder and others participated.
