47 sheep die in wall collapse accident in Mahbubnagar district
In a grisly incident, as many as 47 sheep were killed and 37 others were severely injured when a compound wall of a tyre manufacturing industry collapsed on them at Motighanapur village under Balanagar mandal in Mahbubnagar district on Tuesday evening.

According to eyewitness accounts, a shepherd, Golla Chandraiah, herded the flock of the sheep nearer to the compound wall when it rained heavily.
All of a sudden, the 6-foot high compound wall caved in and fell on the sheep. The accident happened between 4 pm and 5 pm on Tuesday, sources said.
There were in all 84 sheep when the accident happened. Of them, 47 were crushed under the debris of the wall and died on the spot.
Upon learning about the large-scale loss, Minister for Health C Laxma Reddy called on the shepherd and assured him of government help.
