Khammam: The BJP and its affiliate RSS have been increasingly launching attacks on the innocent since after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, according to Bahujan Left Front (BLF), Khammam Lok Sabha.
The BLF activists, in a bid to highlight the alleged attacks on the people belonging to weaker sections, burnt an effigy of the Prime Minister here.
Speaking on the occasion, Nageswara Rao accused the BJP and the RSS had attacked the Dalits and people belonging to the Minority community. Several people had been subjected to harassment during the last four years, he said.
He said the BJP activists Gujarat had recently attacked a Dalit youth for wearing shorts and growing moustaches. In another incident a Dalit youth in Gujarat was dragged to a barber shop and had his beard shaved, he said.
The people would teach a fitting lesson to the BJP, he said. BLF leaders Y Srikanth, M Bharati, Srinivas Rao, T Lingaiah, D Thirupathi Rao, Md Gouse, V Srinivas Rao, Saraswathi, Naga Sulochana, Ramya, Amaravathi and Dasari Nageswara Rao were present at the programme.
