Mahbubnagar: The Palamuru YSR Congress Party leaders emerged from self-imposed hibernation on Wednesday to fight political battle with the TRS government. As part of the strategy, the YSRCP leaders have embarked on signature campaign to expose the failure on the part of the government in fulfilling election promises, according to party leaders.

Though the YSRCP could not win a single seat in Mahbubnagar district, it has sizeable chunk of cadre. Taking advantage of active participation of the party activists, the YSRCP leaders announced series of programmes to highlight the failure of the government.

The leaders now embarked on signature campaign to exert pressure on the government fill vacant posts in government departments. They decided to collect Rs 1.5 lakh signatures in Kosigi mandal.

“We are having a good cadre at the grassroots and now have embarked on to fight for the people’s cause. We will expose the failures of the government as it has failed to fulfil its promise of providing 1.5 lakh jobs to youth. Chief Minister KCR himself has said that more than one lakh vacancies will be filled.”

YSRCP Kodangal mandal in-charge T Balaraj said the government had created 12,000 jobs only. Though notification were issued, the government had failed to fill the vacancies, he said.
