Kothagudem: The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated with fervour across the district on Wednesday. The State Excise and Prohibition, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister T. Padma Rao Goud attended the programme as the chief guest and hoisted the national flag.
He received the guard of honour from the Police department. Speaking on the occasion, Padma said highlighted achievements of the State government. He said, “the Telangana government is the only one in the country which implemented so many schemes for the farmers.” He explained the details of the schemes in his speech.
He said that all political leaders in the country seeing the State with surprise how the schemes are bringing changes in the lives of the people in the State. The Rythu Bandhu scheme is a hit like all schemes in the State.
The second phase of the scheme will be implemented soon, he added. Calling Rythu Bhima scheme a boon to the farmers, the minister said many government had rolled out schemes in the past but none ever could implement these types of schemes for farmers.
The Minister Padma Goud said the flagship programmes like round the clock power supply for farm sector, Kalyana Laxmi and Shadhi Mubharak scheme for brides, and Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya and KC Kits for women implemented in last four year in State.
As part of Bangaru Telangana, the Chief Minister also released many funds for health services across the State. KCR kits, Ammavadi Vehicles, and other facilities were provided to the pregnant women in the State, he added. The Kanti Velugu scheme is being started is being launched across the State for the people. It is a good chance of the people for the conducting for screening of their eye sight.
The flag ship program of the Haritha Haram has been a grand success in the in the district due to coordination of all officers. After the programme, the minister inspected stalls of various departments displaying their activities and achievements. The Minister distributed the merit certificates to the best employees in various departments in the district.
District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, Joint Collector M.RamKishan, OSD Uday Bhasker Reddy, Excise Superintendent Narasimha Reddy and MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao, Tati Venkateswarlu and other district officers attended the program.
