Srisailam reservoir receives heavy inflows

Kurnool : Due to incessant rains in the upper basin of the Krishna river over the past few days, the Srisailam reservoir has been receiving copious inflows. With the onset of monsoon, rainfall has been widespread all over the State.

The Srisailam reservoir has been receiving continuous inflows since June 2 and the reservoir has 26,550 cusec of water as of now. The water level in the reservoir has risen from 812 feet to 814.60 feet due to the heavy inflows. The full height of the dam is 815 feet. The reservoir capacity is 240 tmc, while the water capacity is 37 tmc.
