Naidu let down people of Samaikyandhra: Sharmila

Proddatur/Nandyal: YSRCP leader Y S Sharmila observed here on Friday that Telugu Thalli would feel ashamed to realize that Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu was born Telugu land. Addressing gathering in Proddatur and Nandyal on the sixth day of her ‘Samaikya Sankaravam’ bus yatra, she called upon the people to corner Naidu as to why he was undertaking his yatra. She alleged that the TDP chief had let down the people of Seemandhra. She garlanded the statues of Potti Sriramulu and Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Sharmila received a good response from the crowds, thanks to the mobilizing skills of district YSRCP leaders Bhuma Nagi Reddy and Shoba Nagi Reddy. Addressing a gathering at Sanjivanagar, Sharmila hit out at Naidu for giving a letter to the Centre on Telangana ‘like a blank cheque’. She said he was not fit to be called a Telugu ‘bidda’ (son of soil in the land of Telugus). The YSRCP leader wanted the Congress party to withdraw its decision on Telangana if it could not ensure equal justice to the people of three regions. She said that Rayalaseema was sure to turn into a desert if the State was divided. Projects in the region would remain mere structures without the supply of the Krishna water.
