In an sort of ultimatum to the MPs, he demanded their resignation by October 1.
Addressing the mammoth meeting organised by the Vedika here, Ashok Babu said that the people of Telangana should realize that the Telangana state could not be formed without the consent of Seemandhra people. He said that they would not react unless anybody made any provocative remarks against them.

People of only four districts in Telangana have been demanding a separate State and the rest of the districts wanted to be united, he said and added that Samaikyandhra meetings would be organised in Telangana region also. Ashok Babu said that he would go to the TRS office to extend support to the Samaikyandhra.

Refuting the allegations that the Telangana was exploited, he expressed readiness for a debate over the issue. “During the last 20 years all the constructions in the twin cities were taken up with the sand from Krishna district,” he said in the regard. He said that not a single rupee was taken out from Hyderabad to Seemandhra area, but all resources were transferred from Seemandhra to Hyderabad.

Ashok Babu pointed out that the Hyderabad city was being illuminated by the power from Vijayawada Thermal Power Station. “One hour power supplied to Hyderabad city could be used for providing power supply for 12 hours to Seemandhra,” he remarked. He said that none knew who Dhoni was till he hit the first century and likewise none knew about him. Hyderabad city has been utilizing 18 tmc water without any permissions, he pointed out.

Reacting to the remarks by KCR against him, he said that he was keeping patience since Seemandhra people wanted to be united. “We are civilized enough to keep quiet even if footwear was thrown at us and do they have that quality,” he wondered. He made it clear that he was not interested in politics but only interested in united Andhra Pradesh. We believe in non-violence and that is why we are agitating peacefully, he said. It was not right on the part of separatists to pass demeaning remarks against integrationists, he said. The separatists have been making provocative speeches since there was no strength in their argument, he said. “The separatists should remember that there were not only tigers in Nallamala forest but there are also goats which chase away the tigers,” he said.

It is true to suggest that Telangana culture was degraded by Seemandhra people, he said and added that it was Andhra leaders were bringing disrepute to the Telangana culture with their separatist argument.

‘Let T leaders only head Govt’

Kurnool: The integrationists buoyed by the massive attendance of people in the Samaikya Rashtra Praja Garjana programme organised by Samaikya Rashtra Parirakshana Vedika here on Sunday, asserted here on Sunday that they were committed to the united Andhra Pradesh come what may. RTC Employees JAC leader Damodar said that the agitation for the united state would continue even they were forced to take only one meal a day.
Referring the demand by the Telangana leaders, he said that they do not mind if the Telangana leaders became the chief minister and the ministers. “The name of the state could be re-christened as Telangana with all the 23 districts but never think of dividing Telugu people,” he pointed out.
JAC leader Sampat Kumar said that the people of the State would suffer if the state was divided. “Education, medical, electricity, employment and others would suffer a severe setback,” he said. Kumar Chowdary Yadav of Hyderabad said that they had launched Samaikya Rashtra Parirakshana Vedika ten years back for the united state.
He found fault with the statement of TRS chief KCR that let us divide and live together and said that it would sent wrong signal to the people. “It is like taking divorce and continuing the live-in relationship,” he pointed out. “The problems could be solved even without dividing the state,” he added.
APNGOs treasury JAC leader Ravi Kumar objected to the outrageous remarks of Manda Krishna Madiga. He warned the Seemandhra people would teach him a fitting lesson. Karem Sivaji paid tributes to the employees who have been on the strike for the last two months even foregoing their salaries. He recalled that Hyderabad was developed with the SC and ST funds during the regimes of Chandrababu Naidu and Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy. He lambasted the political leaders for their silence when the people were agitating for the united state. He demanded immediate resignation of all the politicians to join the stir. He announced that Mala Mahanadu was committed to the united Andhra Pradesh.
Electricity employees JAC leader Saibaba said that there would be umpteen problems like irrigation, power generation and others if the state was divided. He warned of an indefinite strike by electricity employees if the Telangana bill was introduced in Parliament. He recalled that the electricity employees had extended one-day salary to the RTC in the Anantapuram public meeting. He assured that he would strive to extend one-day salaries to the RTC of Kurnool after consulting their leaders. He announced that ‘Chalo Jantar Mantar’ programme would be undertaken on October 18 and 19 to present their voice in Delhi.
Chalasani Srinivas lambasted the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi for taking the decision to divide the state. He criticized TRS chief KCR for instigating hatred among the people of the state.
Leaders of various associations and JACs have vowed that they would support Ashok Babu who has been fighting for untied Andhra Pradesh like Arjuna. Student JAC leader Vasu appealed to the students of Telangana not to resort to suicides. He said that the leaders would be washed away if the youth rose in unison. NGOs, teachers, workers attended the Samaikya Rashtra Praja Garjana venue which named after the former chief minister Damodaram Sanjiavaiah and the stage was named after Potti Sreeramulu.
A number of Telangana people thronged the meeting stating they were for the united state. People from Aija, Gadwal, Itikala mandals in Mahbubnagar district attended the meeting. Vangapandu Prasad Rao presented various songs to enthrall the audience. Ashok Babu released the CD of Samaikyandhra songs sung by Kurnool artistes.
