Telangana Congress criticised the upcoming \'Sunburn festival\', slated to be held at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad from Friday.
Telangana Congress criticised the upcoming 'Sunburn festival', slated to be held at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad from Friday.
Requesting the festival to be stopped, Former Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao on Thursday submitted a representation to the Cyberabad Police Commissioner stating that it was against Indian culture and the youngsters are being wrongly influenced due to the dance, music, and alcohol.
Alleging that the organizers were allowing the youth even below the age of 15 to enter the venue, he demanded that the permission given to the event must be canceled.
TPCC spokesperson Addanki Dayakar too spoke against the festival adding that the Telangana government was promoting drug culture in Hyderabad and accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of ignoring the situation.
He further questioned as to how the festival was given permission despite protests from political parties and students.
