Industries and Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao is all set to showcase the newly formed Telangana state as an international hub for investments at the three-day Global Entrepreneur Summit (GES) to be held from November 28 in the city.
Hyderabad: Industries and Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao is all set to showcase the newly formed Telangana state as an international hub for investments at the three-day Global Entrepreneur Summit (GES) to be held from November 28 in the city.
KTR will make a detailed multi-media presentation for 30 minutes on the rapid development of Telangana within three-and-a-half years since its formation. The presentation will also highlight the unique TS-iPASS – an industrial policy brought into force by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s government in 2015 and its impact on the industrial and economic growth of the State within a short span in the country.
The Minister will make the presentation at a special session on the second day of the summit to be attended by American President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump, national and international delegates. ICICI Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Chanda Kochhar will also be present.
The achievement of first rank in the EODB (Ease of Doing Business) in India would take centre stage in the presentation. The major initiatives including uninterrupted power supply for industrial sector, promotion of startup companies in the newly-established T Hub, establishment of Pharma hub, flooding investments in the IT sector, maintenance of law and order are included in the presentation.
Officials say that KTR will also take part in the interactive session with the delegates and clarify the doubts raised by them during his presentation. Officials also say that KTR will also hold one-to-one meetings with a few businessmen and invite them to invest in the State.
He is likely to meet the representatives of IT, Pharma, Automobile, Manufacturing and infrastructure companies and finalise the investments in Telangana before the conclusion of the summit. State Industries and Commerce and IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan will accompany the minister at the summit.
