Beginning her address at GES 2017 by praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership, Sushma Swaraj said that the relationship between India and US has developed into a strategic partnership of Global Significance and deemed it eminently appropriate that the two countries have come together to co-host the Global Summit.
She mentioned that India deeply values the desire of US President Donald Trump to further strengthen the relationship between the countries.
Putting forth the focus of the summit, women entrepreneurship, Sushma Swaraj said, “Women entrepreneurs are an epitome of courage and leadership. Ivanka Trump is a passionate advocate of education and empowerment of girls.”
Calling herself the ‘Chinamma’ of Telangana, she said that the state is a perfect mix of traditionalism and modernization.
