KTR announces We-Hub for women

IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao along with NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant addressed the media after conclusion of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit-2017 on Thursday.

Speaking at a press conference, KTR announced Telangana government's three initiatives for women entrepreneurs including setting up of a We-Hub, an exclusive incubator.

KTR informed that a Rs 15 crore fund is being planned for them and We-Hub will be set up on the lines of T-Hub.

He added that the government will change the procurement policy to enable the procurement of one fourth of the mandated 20 percent purchases from SME (small amd medium-sized enterprises) sector.

Amitabh Kant added that the We-Hub would be extended all the support required from the NITI Aayog.
