CBIT students' agitation continues over fee hike

The protests continued at the Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology premises with the students agitating against the college management’s hike of the tuition fee without informing them earlier.

The college authorities asked the students to pay the additional Rs 87,000 raising the fee amount from 1,13,000 to Rs 2 lakh with a deadline instated December 15.
Students unions have extended their support to the agitating students who are demanding the management to roll back its decision.

Police have been deployed in large numbers at the college to prevent any untoward incidents.
As many as 2,000 students are staging a protest, demanding a rollback of the fee hike.
