The five day World Telugu Conference is set to take off from Friday evening at LB Stadium. The Telugu cultural extravaganza will witness glittering cultural events and Telugu literary debates.
The five day World Telugu Conference is set to take off from Friday evening at LB Stadium. The Telugu cultural extravaganza will witness glittering cultural events and Telugu literary debates.
India Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and accompanied by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will inaugurate the conference. Governors ESL Narasimhan and CH Vidyasagar Rao will also take part. President Ramnath Kovindh will be the chief guest in the valedictory function on Tuesday.
Elaborate arrangements including vehicle parking and Telangana delicacies for food lovers are also made available.
A special dance form on Telangana will be performed by noted classical dancers- Raja Reddy- Radha Reddy on the inaugural day.
Noted writers, Jnana Peeth award winners and film personalities - Nagarjuna, Sirivennela Sitarama sastry , Dil Raju, Tanikella Bharani will be the guests in the conference.
Interestingly, KCR dropped the idea to invite Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and ministers of the Telugu state in the last minutes.
Special session on - ‘Telangana Song – History’ will be convened by noted lyric writer Suddala Ashok Teja. Film directo Dil Raju and film hero A Nagarjuna along with IT minister KT Rama Rao will participate in the meeting on Culture on December 18.
Discussion on Telugu culture, Sahitya Sabha, Telangana Padyakavitha Sourabham , Telangana Vachana Kavitha Vikasam, Katha Sadassu, Telangana navala Sahityam, Telangana Critic- Research, Telugu in Telangana, Telugu in Media, Astavadhanam, use of Telugu in Administration and Law, Telangana history , Interaction with Telugu NRIs among the important programmes organized.
Bruhat Kavi Sammelanams’ ( Big Poetry/ Writers session ) will be held all through the five days. Telangana ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs are also invited to attend the sessions regularly. Debates and cultural programmes will also be conducted at Ravindha Bharathi and Telugu university.
Telugu communities from America, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia will participate in the conference and share their experiences in preserving Telugu in foreign countries.
