Telangana Government on Thursday launched an Android Mobile App to provide easy access to data of Intensive Household Survey (IHS) to the top officials.

After formation of Telangana State, the government has initiated Intensive Household Survey (Samagra Kutumba Survey-SKS) on 19th August 2014 to cover all the households of Telangana in a single day covering 94 major parameters. The data so collected is preserved at central server with National Informatics Centre (NIC), Hyderabad. Compared to other surveys taken up so far, this is a unique and most comprehensive exercise.

Currently the data of SKS is being used by District Collects and all the departments for launching various welfare programs in the State, such as Aasara Pensions, Single Women Pensions, Finance Assistance to Beedi Workers, Sheep distribution etc., The access to website was made available to all District Collectors and Heads of the Departments.

In order to have instant access to the data at various levels such as village, mandal, district, constituency and State level, on select parameters, an android mobile app has been developed. The App was launched on Thursday by AK Goel, Advisor to Planning & Energy and Dr. G.R. Reddy, Advisor, Finance along with BP Acharya, outgoing Spl. Chief Secretary, Planning at Ganaanka Bhavan, Hyderabad. Senior officials of NIC were also present on the occasion.
