Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Congress Legislature Party leader K. Jana Reddy said that their party was fully prepared to face early elections in the State.
In an informal chat with media persons at Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday, they said that although the party had no objection to delimitation of Assembly constituencies, they see no such possibility. He said there was little time left to undertake the process of delimitation to increase the number of Assembly seats.
The Congress leaders said that electoral tie-ups was a common thing in politics and a decision in this regard would be taken an an appropriate time.
They also ridiculed the claim of Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha's claim that TRS would win 100 seats in next elections. He said such claims were aimed at demoralising the morale of cadre of Congress party which is witnessing a rise in its popularity across Telangana State.
Speaking about A. Revanth Reddy's resignation, Jana Reddy said that the Kodangal MLA was ready to give resignation. However, Speaker S. Madhusudan Chary has did not accept the resignations of MLAs who resigned earlier. Apparently for the same reason, he said Revanth Reddy's resignation too was getting delayed.
