Suspect grilled for child sacrifice

Hyderabad: The Uppal police team called up a man, Narahari, a neighboring resident for interrogation in the case of severed head of a baby that was found at Chilkanagar on Thursday morning.

K Uma Maheshwar Sharma, DCP Malkajgiri told The Hans India, “On being questioned about the incident, Narahari said that he was not aware of what had happened and is clueless.

Things would become clear only when the post mortem reports come in within two to three days.” However, according to sources Narahari had lost his wife one and half year back and had a son who is mentally challenged. People are suspecting that since it was full moon day (Poornima) and he might have performed the child’s sacrifice (bali) to appease the god to restore the well-being of his son.
