Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday met Aruna Budda Reddy at Pragati Bhavan in Hyderabad.

Aruna Reddy who clinched a bronze medal at the recently concluded World Gymnastics Tournament in Melbourne in Australia, created history becoming the first woman from India to win bronze in the women's vault event.

The Chief Minister congratulated and felicitated her along with announcing a cash prize of Rs 2 crore. He also instructed the officials to provide assistance to her coach Sri Brij Kishore.

With a score of 13.369 points, Aruna finished behind Tjasa Kysslef of Slovenia and Emily Whitehead of Australia who finished with gold and silver, respectively.
