Hyderabad: Two kids run over by buses, succumb to death
A 16-year-old first-year diploma student succumbed to death in Aushapur on Monday due to an RTC driver’s alleged negligence.
A 16-year-old first-year diploma student succumbed to death in Aushapur on Monday due to an RTC driver’s alleged negligence.
The driver is learned to have driven off without stopping the bus at a bus bay in Aushapur and the victim, M Vikas Reddy tried o board into a moving RTC bus around 3.45 pm but ended up coming under the rear wheels.
Following the incident, students of four private engineering colleges in Aushapur protested in the area and refused to allow the police to shift the body.
Police arrested the driver, Mohammad Afsar Pasha and only then the situation came under control.
In another mishap, an 11-year-old boy, G Vamshi was mowed down by a minibus in Basaragadi village while he was cycling back home. The incident took place around 5.15 pm on Monday when the boy was crossing the road at Basaragadi Road. The boy, a Class VI student of Zilla Parishad High School, died on the spot.
Police arrested the bus driver, Khaleel and registered a case against him.
