Hyderabad: Woman’s burnt body found inside her flat, murder suspected
A 27-year-old woman\'s burnt body was found inside her flat in Hyderabad on Tuesday morning.
A 27-year-old woman's burnt body was found inside her flat in Hyderabad on Tuesday morning.
The woman, identified as Soumya, was with her six-month-old son who was rescued by the neighbours after discovering her body and informed the police.
The woman lived with her husband, who was allegedly not present when the incident took place. Also, the flat was found locked from the outside. Police found injury marks found on the victim’s body, separate from the burn injuries.
After conducting a preliminary investigation, the police informed that the incident took place at around 12.30 am on Tuesday and the husband, who is an engineer, had left home for work at 8.30 pm on Monday. While the police ruled out the possibility of suicide, they suspect the incident to be a case of murder.
An FIR has been filed and a further investigation is underway.
