MMTS services cancellation, a temporary issue says SCR GM
With commuters raising complaints regarding the frequent cancellation and regulation of few MMTS services in Hyderabad recently, SCR General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav addressed these issues in a press conference on Tuesday.
With commuters raising complaints regarding the frequent cancellation and regulation of few MMTS services in Hyderabad recently, SCR General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav addressed these issues in a press conference on Tuesday.
Stating that they are temporary issues, he said that some of the MMTS routes were being used to 130 percent and even 140 percent of their capacity resulting in a backlog in maintenance of the tracks for the last six months.
Mr Yadav said that the situation pushed the SCR to opt for maintenance of tracks and block some routes while regulating some trains.
Making it clear that the backlogs would be cleared soon without any cancellations, the SCR General Manager stated that the public was being alerted in every way including social media to avoid regulation of same trains every day.
