Anam brothers were counted among the most powerful politicos in Nellore district and they ruled the roost for decades. Post-2014, Chandrababu lured them with the promise of ministry for Anam Ramnarayana Reddy and MLC post for Anam Vivekananda Reddy. They took the bait and joined the TDP.

As is Chandrababu’s wont, he completely cold shouldered them after they left Congress and joined the TDP. Now the once powerful Anam brothers have become so powerless that they are not able to have their way even in small issues.

Anam Viveka is now battling serious ailment and is lying on the hospital bed. Anam Ramnarayana Reddy commonds no respect in the party. Naturally, the brothers are angry, upset and unhappy. So, when Chandrababu wanted to call on ailing Viveka, he refused to meet him. Yet, Chandrababu went to him.

As a mark of protest, Anam family members left the hospital before Chandrababu’s arrival. CM’s staff then tried to contact Ramanarayana Reddy, but he slammed the receiver down on the phone cradle.

Now, there is a serious talk that Anam family is likely to leave the TDP. Lending credence to these rumours, the staff in Anam family office in Nellore have covered the face of Chandrababu in the portraits and photographs.
