Former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy formally joined Congress Party in the presence of party national president, Rahul Gandhi, at New Delhi today. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief, Uttam Kumar Reddy was also seen in attendance.

Former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy formally joined Congress Party in the presence of party national president, Rahul Gandhi, at New Delhi today. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief, Uttam Kumar Reddy was also seen in attendance.

Speaking on the occasion, Nagam Janardhan Reddy said that he takes inspiration from Sonia Gandhi who stood by her word and helped achieve the separate statehood for Telangana.

He stated that his main aim is to bring down the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government which is ignorant towards the welfare of the people in the state.

Several others joined Congress Party along with Nagam.

Earlier, Nagam Janardhan Reddy was a prominent legislator in Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and later in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), from Nagarkurnool in Mahbubnagar district.
