Minister slams Jagan on renaming Krishna district after NTR

Andhra Pradesh Excise Minister KS Jawahar took strong exception to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s statement that he would rename Krishna district after legendary NT Rama Rao.

He said Jagan can never come to power and will never be able to name the district after NTR. He said Jagan was unnecessarily dragging NTR’s name into controversy for purely political reasons.

Jawahar also pointed out that YSRCP leader Dutta Ramchandra Rao has already warned that he would leave the YSRCP if the name of Krishna district was changed. The AP Minister said he would never agree to renaming Krishna district. He said this was nothing but political duble standards.
