Has Dachepalli rapist committed suicide?
In an anti-climax of sorts, the alleged rapist of the nine-year-old girl in Guntur’s Dachepalli is reported to have committed suicide by hanging self to a tree. The body was reportedly recovered from the agricultural fields lying between Telikutla and Daida villages in Gurajala mandal.

50-year-old Subbaiah, the alleged rapist, was at large immediately after the rape was reported. The police had formed 17 teams to scout for him. The police have also pressed into service drones to track him down. Meanwhile, two days after he vanished, the police were informed about a body hanging from a tree near Telikutla. The police rushed to the spot.
There has been tension in Dachepalli with the locals and women’s organizations staging protests demanding stern action against the culprit.
