KTR: Telangana is one of the top destinations for doing business in India

Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao on Sunday attended the inaugural session of Deccan Dialogue, a conference on Economic Diplomacy for Development, organized by Indian School of Business (ISB) in association with Ministry of External Affairs in Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR said, “Hyderabad is where North meets the South. It's natural to have Deccan Dialogue as an annual dialogue in the city.”

Addressing the gathering, he said, “Economics n diplomacy are inseparable and go hand-in-hand in today's world. Employment creation is the biggest problem countries face today and economic diplomacy is the way forward. To get a hang of India is to travel a lot and stop looking at India through the prism of world bank report or through the prism of a consultant's report.”

Stating that Telangana is the center for investment, KTR said, “Telangana is one of the top destinations for doing business in India. New economic policies have been brought after the creation of the state. Telangana was the front line in the implementation of normal trade policy.”

The Minister said that the Foreign Ministry has asked the states to cooperate to collect investments from abroad further clarifying that the main objective of the government is to create jobs.

He also requested all the diplomats at the gathering to engage with states because each state is different.
