Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday called for a meeting with the ministers and the collectors in Pragathi Bhavan to review the progress of the Rythu Bandhu programme and formulate a proper strategy for distributing passbooks and cheques to the farmers who are yet to get them.

He instructed officers to ensure distribution of the cheques and Pattadar passbooks to all eligible farmers be completed by June 2.

Expressing displeasure over the delay in completion of the programme due to technical issues, he directed the officials to resolve them by June 2 when the new registration policy came into effect.

KCR stated that the farmers are satisfied to receive the Investment Support for their agriculture from the Government adding that the scheme has earned a lot of appreciation across the country.

Pointing out that no other priority program has focused on farmers’ welfare as Rythu Bandhu scheme, the Chief Minister said that despite concerns raised on the implementation of the scheme with a budgetary provision of Rs 12,000 Crores, they have succeeded in putting forth a program benefiting the farmers directly.
