The girl, hailing from East Godavari district, was working in a jewelry shop and was reportedly alone during the time of the attack.
The accused slit her throat on Monday and fled from the spot. The police arrested the key accused while he was fleeing after committing the crime. Sagar worked as the home guard in Warangal. The parents of the girl informed that the accused was harassing her for the last six months.
