Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced job security for 470 outsourcing staff working under National Rural Employment Guarantee Program.
He said that Rs 5 lakh compensation will be given in case the field assistants died accidentally. Rs 3 lakh if they disabled permanently. The new scheme will come in to force from January 2019.
The salaries of the field assistants are also increased from Rs 7,500 to Rs 8,500. from Rs 8,500 to Rs 9,500 and from Rs 10,000 to Rs 11,000 was increased. The salary of Watershed Assistants salary will be increased to Rs 5,000 from Rs 2,500 from July one this year.
