Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao hit out strongly against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, accusing him of indulging in vote bank politics via the Rythu Bandhu Scheme.

He stated that KCR distributing Rs 4,000 per acre to farmers in the name of the scheme is the means of indulging in vote bank politics.

Further, the Congress leader consoled the Dalits and BCs, who were thrashed by the police officials for questioning the sand mafia, at Nerella village in Thangalapalli mandal in Rajanna-Sircilla district.

Hanumantha Rao further criticised KCR for not coming out in support of the Nerella victims adding that the latter is the first Chief Minister, who directed cops to arrest farmers.
