Mentally unstable man found with father’s dead body in Vijayawada
A mentally unstable man was found living with his father’s dead body in the house in Vijayawada on Sunday after the neighbours complained of ‘foul smell’.
A mentally unstable man was found living with his father’s dead body in the house in Vijayawada on Sunday after the neighbours complained of ‘foul smell’.
Police broke into the house based on the complaint and found 70-year-old Konduru Koteswara Rao, a retired employee of the Dr Narla Tata Rao Thermal Power Station in Vijayawada dead with his son staying next to the body.
This incident took place at Kanuru in Shirdi Nagar.
The police suspect the man had died a few days ago. Also, initially the suspicion rose on the son that he had killed Koteswara Rao, however, the autopsy report at the Government General Hospital (GGH) confirmed that it was a natural death and there were no external injuries on the body.
It is learned that Koteswara Rao was suffering from heart-related ailments and might have died a natural death.
The police stated that the son believed Koteswara Rao was sleeping and he was seen performing rituals to 'wake him up'.
