A beggars rehabilitation and resettlement policy is set to be implemented in Telangana as the state government has directed the Home and municipal administration departments to work on rehabilitation measures for beggars.

The beggars were picked up with male beggars being placed in old observation home for boys behind Chanchalguda Jail while female beggars were housed in a building adjacent to Charlapally central prison in Medchal.
