TDP leader's gun misfires in Kurnool, woman injured

In a gun misfire incident, a woman sustained severe injuries in Kurnool district on Wednesday. The gun belonged to local TDP leader V R Laxmi Reddy, who was supervising the Neeru-Chettu programme works on the outskirts of the Kanakadripalle village of Kolimigundla Mandal.

Reports reveal that he kept his licensed gun on the heap of stones to inspect the ongoing works.

However, a woman, identified as Talari Laxmi Devi, who was working in a factory nearby witnessed someone trying to steal the gun and caught hold of the firearm.

In an unexpected turn of events, Laxmi Devi suffered bullet injuries on chest and hand. She was immediately shifted to the government hospital in Kurnool.
