Activists of Telangana Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) have resorted to violence at the Delhi Public School in Nadergul Village, Sarrornagar on Wednesday, as a part of the state-wide bandh being observed today, by closing all schools.

In view of the ABVP’s school bandh call demanding a cap on week hike in the schools of the state, few schools in Hyderabad declared a holiday on Wednesday.

While most of the schools were closed with DPS, HPS, Sri Chaitanya, Pallavi School and Michael school sending out messages to the parents stating that they will be closed, the Nadergul branch of Delhi Public School (DPS) remained open.

Coming to know this, the ABVP activists arrived at the campus immediately and starting pelting stones at the school buses parked outside. State secretary of the ABVP, L Ayyappa, however, said that the bandh was by and large peaceful adding that most people participated in it.
