Journalist poisons daughters before ending his life in Siddipet

A journalist, Hanumanth Rao committed suicide by hanging himself in Siddipet district. Before killing himself, he administered poison to his two young daughters. While the daughters succumbed to death, his wife, who also tried to hang herself, survived and is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital.

Hanumanth Rao was a reporter for Andhra Bhoomi daily and is learned to have been depressed for some months now.

Locals alerted the police after hearing screams from the house.

A case has been registered and the police have taken up the investigation.
