Public meeting, Dharnas & Rallies Banned In Vijayawada

Alerted by intelligence inputs, police Commissioner Gautam Sawang clamped Section 30 in Vijayawada.

Under the section, rallies, public meetings and dharnas were prohibited until September 30. Stringent action will be taken against those who violated the restrictions.

Section 144 was also imposed in Suryaraopet police station limits from July 1st to August 15. The meeting of more than five members is prohibited in state guest house, Rythu Bazaar road, Gopalreddy road and Dornakal road.
