TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy hit back at IT Minister KT Rama Rao on Monday following his comment that the Congress had betrayed the people of Telangana.
Taking to Twitter, Uttam Kumar shared an audio clip where Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao speaks of Sonia Gandhi in high regard and even credited her for the achievement of separate statehood for Telangana. The Congress leader further questioned KTR whether he was disagreeing with his own father. Tweet:
Pls watch KCR talking abt our leader Smt. Sonia Gandhi ji - “No one can disagree that Telangana was Sonia Gandhi Garu’s initiative. TS was created due to her benevolence. Whoever disagrees with this fact is a ‘మూర్ఖుడు‘.” R u disagreeing with your father? https://t.co/KFudkjgbmN https://t.co/D7QWX5wlh7

The twitter war ensued after KTR had made remarks against Sonia Gandhi.
Smt. Sonia Gandhi will always remain in the hearts of Telangana people for creating a new State. For @KTRTRS to make reprehensible statements against her is gross indecency & reflects his moral bankruptcy. @INCTelangana & the people will teach him a lesson https://t.co/W7gav4u621

KTR responded by stating that Congress party’s history is filled with deception especially when it comes to Telangana agitation.
Uttam Garu, I stand by my words that Congress party’s history is filled with betrayals, treachery & deception with respect to Telangana agitation starting from 1952 all the way to 2014

It was the inevitability conferred upon by people’s movement which resulted in Telangana 1/2 https://t.co/HGI4sKpU8F
We shall surely let people decide whose party is morally bankrupt when we go to polls next

Let me remind you that I had offered to quit political life if TRS is not voted back to power. I am going to keep my word whether or not you keep yours (of doing the same if you lose) 2/2
