Transgenders disrobe themselves, arrested

Hyderabad: The Narsingi police on Wednesday arrested five transgenders for creating nuisance in public place. The transgenders tried to extort money from the people and stopped vehicles on the roads.

When the people refused to give money, they hit the people with footwear and disrobed themselves in protest.

Based on a complaint filed by one Satyanarayana, the Narsingi police promptly arrested the transgenders identified as K Sivani, K Swapna, R Swati, A Sweta and D Sweety. The police warned the transgenders not to harass the public and said the police will take stern action against them if they trouble the people.
