I place Jagan in your safe hands, Vijayamma tells people

Striking an emotional chord, YSR Congress Honorary President YS Vijayamma has appealed to the people that she is placing her son YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in ‘your safe hands’ as he resumes the Praja Sankalpa Yatra and said the duo of authoritarian Congress and anarchic TDP had joined hands for nefarious goals while the investigation was going awry and they have no faith about its fairness.

Speaking to media here on Sunday, she said, ‘we have no faith in the investigation as the DGP and Chief Minister had set the tune of the exercise by rushing to the press with concocted versions aimed at diluting the case of October 25 attack on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy even before the probe has begun.

It was a providential escape for him and he was saved only because he carries people’s blessings with him always.If the Leader of Opposition has no protection in the VIP Lounge of the airport, what is the scale of law and order in the state? No sharp objects are allowed inside the airport and how can someone enter the place with a sharp knife is the key point which the state investigation has opted to ignore as the TDP leadership started making light of the incident by speaking in terms of the depth of injury and measurement of the weapon to dilute and deviate the investigation.

‘I am told that there were failed attempts to attack YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Guntur and Godavari districts and it was he presence of large number of people that made the mission impossible and Vizag airport has come in as a safe spot.

I appeal to the conspirators as well not to resort to such attacks as our family had already lost a towering leader and we did not fully recover from the tragedy, the mother of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.Ever since YSRCP was formed, the Congress and TDP have joined hands to trouble our family and we are boldly facing them and Jagan did not budge to any pressure and his resolve was undeterred as people are with him and he has been with the people, who are like his family, which will provide the protective shield, if necessary.

The Chief Minister instead of ordering a probe or uttering a word of comfort has been making fun of the incident and speaking in a very snide manner. When the same Chandrababu Naidu was injured in the Alipiri incident, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, who was then the Leader of Opposition, had personally paid a visit to console him and sat on a dharna to condemn the attack. The contrast between the two leaders and their maturity levels came into the open now, she said.

The TDP-Congress nexus has foisted cases levelling baseless allegations and the ruling party has been dragging the names of Jagan’s mother, sister and wife but we do not mind as truth prevails and justice will win in the final lap.

‘My son resumes his Praja Sankalpa Yatra from November 12 and I leave him in your safe hands as he has to complete the unfinished task of completing the Praja Sankalpa Yatra which has clocked over 3,200 km across eleven districts.He will be safe with the blessings of people and Almighty and justice will prevail,’ she said in a voice choked with emotion.
