Nellore: A father attacked his daughter with a knife on Friday afternoon for allegedly maintaining love affair with a person who belongs to Muslim community in Gudur town. She was shifted to area hospital in Gudur town for immediate treatment and her condition was said to be stable.
The incident took place when father observed her daughter in compromising position at her own house with her lover, Siddaiah attacked with a knife in anger. The victim was identified as Devasena, 18. According to sources, Siddaiah hailing from Narsingaraopeta in Gudur town is having daughter Devasena who is studying engineering third year in a local private college close to Gudur town.
Devasena is having love affair with Jabid from the same town for the last one year and were intimate too. Siddaiah who came to know about the affair had earlier warned her to stop love affair with Jabid. But, Devasena refused and continued the affair.
On Friday, Siddaiah who works in a chicken stall was back to home and observed the duo who were in compromising position and attacked with a available knife expressing anger over them for refusing his suggestion. He, then, fled away from the scene. Local people rushed her to the area hospital for treatment. Gudur DSP Srinivasachary said they had booked a case on the incident and were investigating it.
