Hyderabad: Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Tuesday appointed MIM MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan as the Pro-tem Speaker of Telangana State Legislative Assembly.
"The Governor appoints Mumtaz Ahmed Khan to perform the duties of the Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly until a Member of the said Legislative Assembly is chosen to be the Speaker under Article 178 of the Constitution of India," says a notification issued on Tuesday.
