The Uppal police have arrested two accused including a woman on Thursday for cheating the un-employed youth on the guise of providing jobs in L&T Metro Rail, Hyderabad. They have seized net cash of Rs 70,000, one car, 161 fake order copies and two cell phones from the possession of the accused.
According to the police, on January 7 a case under section 420, 468, 471, 120 (B) IPC was registered at Uppal Ppolice station on the complaint of T Lavanya (27, resident of Dilsukhnagar), for cheating the 161 un-employed with a promise that they will be provided with jobs in L & T Metro rail, Hyderabad. The accused V Ramakrsihna (55, resident of Ameerpet), G Sridhar Reddy (absconding), C Mahalakshmi (45, resident of Yerramanjil colony) and B Laxman Rao (absconding) collected Rs 80 lakh from the victims.
The main accused V Ramakrishna migrated to Hyderabad from Nellore since long back. He worked as a public relation officer in several sectors and cheated un-employed youth in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States by collecting huge amounts but failed to provide any jobs to them. As such 15 cases were registered against him in different police stations across both the Telugu states.
The accused Ramakrishna, Mahalakshmi, G Sridhar Reddy (High Court Advocate) and B Laxman Rao (DE at Mission Bhageeratha at Manchiryala) colluded with each other and hatched a plan to cheat the un-employed by luring them that they will provide jobs in L & T Metro rail and after collecting the huge amount from them transferred into Ramakrishna account and later shared the amount among themselves. The accused Mahalakshmi and B Laxman Rao have provided several SIM cards to the main accused Ramakrishna for cheating the candidates. When candidates started demanding their jobs the accused Sridhar Reddy and V Ramakrishna created fake email-id in the name of sridharanpunna @ gmail.com.
The accused collected phone number of K V B Reddy, MD L & T Metro Rail through Google and used to talk with candidates over phone. Further he created fake appointment orders in the name P Radhika Reddy, Vice President, HR, HMR and sent the same to candidates through fake email id. When the candidates pressurized the Ramakrishna questioning their jobs, he himself used to talk with the candidates by changing the voice (Mimicry known person) as that he is K V B Reddy and P Radhika Reddy. When the candidates have approached the concerned L & T Metrol Rail department, they got realized that they were cheated by the accused persons. Police said a special team has been formed for apprehending of absconding accused.
