Simplicity is the New Romantic

Well it’s the season of love where the beauty of love is alive right in the air we breathe and our hearts that pound for our other halves, but since this year is going to go a little too extreme due to all the political controversy we decided to get a few ideas together for you that a simple and can be done just by staying at home or the place you love. So here are few different ways you can propose to your loved one on the day of love.

1. Treasure hunt:
This is like a regular treasure hunt but at your home or your apartment, he or she will be blown away. All you need are some flowers, sticky notes, help from few friends, dim lights and you are all ready to go.

2. Make dinner and make it extra special.
Sometimes little things matter, for example cooking food for him or her. Be sure to make her/his favorite food and talk to him/her about their day at work or with friends. Sometimes people put the rings in the food to make sure they find it while eating but don’t do that, you don’t want your other half to choke now do you. Just wait till the time is right and then you can pop the question. Extra tip: If it’s a full moon day then plan the dinner on your terrace like your own picnic with a personal touch.

3. Make a small proposal video:
since it is also the day of the match am sure you can pre record a small proposal video for him/her, you know something you can play in between or at the end of the match and still watch the match. Make it romantic by getting all his or her favorite snacks, something chocolaty and some good wine.

4. Proposal through your pet:
If you have a small pet like a dog or a cat and she happens to be an animal lover then this is the most perfect idea for you. Get a T-shirt for the pet that has the question for the proposal and make sure the pet is around him or her; she will eventually notice and try to read what’s one the shirt and then you can make the grand entrance. Just make sure your pet is not too playful with the ring.

5. Board games:
Indoor board games can sometimes turn out to be the most perfect way to ask your partner out, now it’s understandable that board games are old school and way too long but it is perfect if you want to spend a lazy day doing nothing but lying around, plus you can customize it the way you want and then propose your partner, for example you can simply play monopoly and when the chance card comes just customize it with the question and place the ring right in the middle of the board.

6. You lights in the right way:
When I say lights I mean LED lights not candle lights, you don’t want to suffocate or burn the house down now do you? LED lights or bright fiber optic lamps can replace candle lights and you can illuminate the room, they can be placed anywhere near the room and still be romantic. Now all you need to do is bring some nice roses or her or his favorite flower and there you go, you are all set to propose.
