Comprising of natural ingredients like pomegranate, pineapple and papaya; the mouthwashes complement Himalaya’s pre-existing range of toothpastes and are available in three different variants as follows:

1.Himalaya Complete Care Mouthwash for healthy gums: Specially formulated with an active combination of Neem, Pomegranate and Miswak provides complete protection to strengthen teeth and gums.

2.Himalaya Active Fresh Mouthwash: A refreshing herbal formulation packed with the power of fennel and mint, Himalaya Active Fresh mouthwash helps prevent mouth odor

3.Himalaya Sparkling White Mouthwash: A unique herbal formulation based on plant enzyme technology from papaya and pineapple, gently removes surface stains.

Commenting on the launch of Himalaya’s new range of mouthwashes Mr. Rajesh Krishnamurthy- Business Head, Consumer Products Division said,“In India mouthwash market is pegged at 175 cr out of which non-medicated mouthwash market size is around 75cr. The Oral care market continues to evolve and today consumers are more open to trying new products that help provide them better oral health. Herbal Oral Care solutions continues to have strong acceptance among consumers. In 2013, we were the first company to launch a range of herbal toothpastes, catering to sensitivity, whitening, multi-benefit and fresh breath and today, we are the first to launch mouthwashes. We are excited to be part of this emerging category and our aim is to achieve 10% market share in a year’s time”.

Mr. Sushil Goswami – Category Manager – Oral Care, The Himalaya Drug Company said,“In India, the oral care industry is largely dominated by toothpaste segment followed by thetoothbrush segment. Segments like mouthwash and dental floss are mainly driven by demands in urban markets. Since the penetration of these categories is very low, there is potential for growth.Riding on the herbal wave and being true to our legacy, we have now expanded our oral care range by introducing a new alcohol free range of herbal mouthwashes.Our range of mouthwashes complement our toothpastes and we aim to give our consumers a wholesome daily oral care ritual that will contribute towards their overall health and well-being”.

The Himalaya range of mouthwashes are currently available as 215 ml bottles priced at Rs. 95.
