Here are couple of reasons why you should don't drink chilled water:

Restricts Digestion: The thirst in summer makes you drink chilled water as well as cold beverages. It keeps your body cool for a while but inside your body, it restricts your digestion because the body focus will divert your digest system and it reflects to cause water loss and makes you dehydrated.

Sore Throat: First and foremost thing everyone must add to their list not to drink water before or after a meal because it results in the build-up of excess mucus (respiratory mucosa), which forms the protective layer of the respiratory tract. Drinking chilled water gives you a sore throat in any season because the track inside your body gets congested and lead to many inflammatory infections.

Could Decrease Heart Rate: The most sensitive place in our body is the heart, drinking chilled water may reduce the heart rate. Drinking ice water supposedly stimulates the tenth cranial nerve - the vagus nerve. So just think about your heart before drinking water and try to put chilled water at bay.
